Alain Blondy<\/h2>\n<p>Lorsque Christina Drakos m&#8217;a fait l&#8217;amiti\u00e9 de me demander de prononcer quelques mots pour l&#8217;ouverture de son exposition je n&#8217;ai pas h\u00e9sit\u00e9 un instant. En effet, j&#8217;ai sur beaucoup d&#8217;entre vous l&#8217;avantageux privil\u00e8ge de la conna\u00eetre, je ne dirai pas par galanterie depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, mais au moins depuis suffisamment d&#8217;ann\u00e9es pour me permettre de vous la pr\u00e9senter.<\/p>\n<p>Cette fort jolie Chypriote, issue d&#8217;une vieille famille d&#8217;archontes (ou de beys) de Limassol, form\u00e9e \u00e0 Nice et \u00e0 Paris, est une impressionnante femme d&#8217;affaires qui a su mettre en avant tout le charme de son pays aupr\u00e8s de nombreux touristes. Ce que l&#8217;on sait peut-\u00eatre moins, c&#8217;est qu&#8217;elle a aussi contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 organiser dans la campagne et sur les rivages de Chypre, un temps de d\u00e9compression plus que n\u00e9cessaire pour les troupes fran\u00e7aises engag\u00e9es en Asie centrale et au Moyen-orient.<\/p>\n<p>Mais ceux qui la connaissent bien savent que ses talents professionnels n&#8217;ont jamais empi\u00e9t\u00e9 sur ses devoirs de m\u00e8re. Il suffit de l&#8217;entendre parler avec fiert\u00e9 de ses enfants et de leur r\u00e9ussite pour comprendre qu&#8217;elle fut toujours une m\u00e8re attentive et aimante, veillant \u00e0 leur bien \u00eatre comme \u00e0 leurs \u00e9tudes. Or ceci a un lien tr\u00e8s \u00e9troit avec l&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nement qui nous r\u00e9unit aujourd&#8217;hui.<\/p>\n<p>Ce portrait serait toutefois incomplet si je ne mentionnais pas l&#8217;artiste qu&#8217;est Christina Drakos. Photographe \u00e9m\u00e9rite, ses \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9es dans de nombreux pays d&#8217;Europe, d&#8217;Am\u00e9rique, d&#8217;Asie et en Australie. \u00c0 partir de 1997, elle a entrepris de publier ses clich\u00e9s. Ce furent successivement <em>The journey<\/em> en 1997, <em>Angels of Light<\/em> en 2001 et <em>Close ups <\/em>en 2002. En 2009, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 sa fille Myrsini, elle publie <em>Mother India<\/em>. L&#8217;artiste fusionnait ainsi avec la m\u00e8re et cela lui donna une dimension, une pesanteur morale que l&#8217;on ne retrouve pas souvent chez les artistes et les intellectuels.<\/p>\n<p>Bien souvent, ces derniers se contentent de d\u00e9noncer l&#8217;innommable, persuad\u00e9s que le plus dur du chemin est ainsi fait, sans se rendre compte, pour paraphraser P\u00e9guy qu&#8217;ils ont les mains pures, mais qu&#8217;ils n&#8217;ont pas de mains. Confront\u00e9e \u00e0 la mis\u00e8re des pays qu&#8217;elle a visit\u00e9s, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment \u00e9mue par la d\u00e9r\u00e9liction des enfants, abandonn\u00e9s \u00e0 la fatalit\u00e9 de la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 et de l&#8217;ignorance. Refusant la d\u00e9rive h\u00e9doniste de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pour qui, selon le mot de Sartre, &#8220;le pittoresque c&#8217;est la pauvret\u00e9 chez les autres&#8221;, elle a alors d\u00e9cid\u00e9, en 2013, de cr\u00e9er la fondation <em>Sagapo<\/em>. Son art est alors devenu un moyen d&#8217;attirer la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 de tous pour que des enfants priv\u00e9s de tout par les guerres et les fanatismes puissent acc\u00e9der \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9ducation et \u00e0 la culture, et par l\u00e0 \u00e0 la libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Je souhaite que la France qui, la premi\u00e8re, a su donner \u00e0 l&#8217;enseignement le r\u00f4le cardinal dans la formation de la conscience individuelle, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des hommes et des femmes aussi divers que le marquis de Condorcet, le p\u00e8re Lacordaire, Louise Michel, Hippolyte Taine, Ernest Renan, Jules Ferry, ou Ferdinand Buisson, saura r\u00e9pondre avec \u00e9lan au g\u00e9n\u00e9reux projet de Christina Drakos et pourra dire aux gamins grandis dans les camps ou sur les
